Did you know that Sash UK actually stands for Specialist Aluminium Softwood and Hardwood! It came about after ‘time-honoured’ joiners, Bean and Morrell, set up business making timber framed windows in 1965. Then, in the 70’s, as a result of Government-led initiatives for energy efficient products promoting the benefits of double glazing, aluminium frames were in introduced. And so the Sash UK you see today was born, going on to pioneer the development of PVCu windows in the North. It has continued to do so ever since, setting industry standards, all the while maintaining the tradition of craftsmanship upon which it was founded. |
