Sash UK installer first to achieve Trading Standards approved accreditation in Scotland

Sash UK installer, Aberdeen-based Clearview PVCu has become the first window installer in Scotland to receive the Government-endorsed TrustMark Trading Standards Approved Company accreditation.

The accolade comes just a few months after the company received TrustMark accreditation, and is only awarded following thorough vetting and on-site inspections to ensure the firm is raising industry standards. The new award is intended to give customers reassurance of quality and protection from rogue traders. TrustMark is the only ‘find a trades person’ scheme to cover all three cornerstones of quality – good trading practices; excellent customer service; and a high level of technical competence.

Clearview PVCu business owner, Lawrence Muirhead, said: “With no official schemes in Scotland to govern the glass and glazing industry, it was more important than ever for Clearview PVCu to have the TrustMark ‘Trading Standards Approved’ logo so potential customers know that they are employing a reputable, reliable firm that has not only been vetted by a TrustMark Scheme Operator, the Glass and Glazing Federation, but also checked directly by Trading Standards.

“These days homeowners are seeking higher levels of service and they now look for expertise from their tradespeople. Our customers will gain confidence and peace of mind knowing that our firm has been awarded the Trading Standards Approved badge and we have all the right checks in place. We are extremely proud to have attained the Trading Standards Approved status as it gives us greater exposure and our customers greater choice.”

SASH UK sales director Mike Stevenson adds: “Over the past 50 years, Sash UK has built its business on quality products and customer service excellence and the fact that Clearview’s commitment to working to the best-in-class standards has been recognised by TrustMark’s highest accolade is something to celebrate.”
